Dr. Carol Lynn Kopke

Dr. Kopke was born in Green Bay, WI and raised on a dairy farm in Little Suamico, WI. She attended Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI for two years and received her Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1996. Dr. Kopke started her ideal career working in ophthalmology, then free lanced at many commercial practices before settling into her dream practice. In 2001, she purchased her first private practice in Melrose Park, and later opened her second practice in the Bloomingdale area in 2004. Her specialities are ocular disease, custom contact lens fitting, and vision therapy related to learning disorders.

Dr. Kopke believes in the human factor. Her mission is to provide quality care with a personal touch. It's about caring. She uses a team approach in managing her staff. The staff at Optica is a little family and when patients come in they are welcomed into the family. She is very personal and down to earth. She can talk to you about anything ranging from sports, politics, current events, kids, pets, shopping, farming, and good food.

Dr. Kopke devotes most of her time taking care of her patients, but in her spare time she travels to Green Bay, WI to take care of her parents and visit with her family. Additionally, she is training 2 papillon puppies as therapy dogs to visit nursing homes and childrens hospitals.

Dr. Alejandro J. Ramirez

Dr. Ramirez was born in Mexico and raised in Chicago. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and earned his Doctorate of Optometry in 2004.

Dr. Ramirez is fluent in Spanish and enjoys providing family eye care.

In his spare time he likes to exercise and watch various sports. When the weather is nice he spends time outdoors cooking out with family and friends.

Kristi, Assistant Manager Bloomingdale

Kristi is from Lansing, IL. She graduated from the Univeristy of Illinois Urabana-Champaign in May 2007 with a Bacholar degree in English.

Kristi enjoys going to the movies, shopping, and traveling.

Elsa, Assistant Manager Melrose Park

Edward, Administrative Technician

Edward was born and raised in Sterling, IL. Edward adds alot of diversity and personality to our office, and is bit of a talker too.

Edward loves fast cars, playing computer games and watching war movies. He is also an avid fisherman and loves to compete in various fishing tournaments

Bibiana, Optometric Assistant

Bibiana is from Franklin Park, IL. She is attending Triton college to recieve her Bachlor of Science in human resources.

Bibiana enjoys spending time with her family, working out, watching movies, and spending time with her friends.
